I remember discovering Roy Lichtenstein in my high school art class, and I've been coveting his gigantic comic book paintings ever since. Over the years that love has transcended into my fashion sense, and more seamlessly as of late with designers integrating the bright hues and comic book style into their collections. Phillip Lim had an amazingly covet-able Lichtenstein-esque sweater a few seasons back (that was, unfortunately, waaay out of my price range) and, now Kate Spade has jumped on a similar bandwagon with their latest Spring 2013 collection. A ton of other designers are putting their own comic-al swing on their signature and everyday pieces and my closet can not be any happier. Here are a few of my favorites that are not only within a reasonable price range, but also not so over the top that you look like you've escaped a convention:

1. kate spade new york 'daycation - gia' cosmetic pouch 2. Sew It Like You Mean It Dress 3. 4. Motel Bonnie Long Sleeve Crop Top with Sequin POW
What do you guys think of the recent comic book trend? Love it or hate it?
I saw her new collection and thought it was so much fun! I can't do the whole shabang (sp) but that clutch and tee would be a fun piece.
