au revoir, 2012!

2012 has been a whirlwind of ups and downs, and you guys have been there the whole way through! Here's a summary of what's gone down in the past year:

• I began my internship at an advertising agency in January and finally lived up to my poor girl with expensive taste inner self with some new features like "if money were no option."
• I, for the first time in CE&TH history, turned the tables over to you guys during a time of crisis and asked you to do the motivating one Monday in February. 
• In March, we celebrated a Mad Men themed week in honor of my favorite show's return and, in the midst of madness and at the most perfect possible moment, Diana & I escaped to Washington, D.C. in April-- the first time for both of us!
• I graduated cum laude with both Diana and Frank in May and was asked back the Monday afterward to work at the amazing advertising agency where I had previously interned to work in their PR department. For a whole month NYC and I had quite a fantastic love affair. While there I received my dreamboat KSNY 'Eat Cake for Breakfast' tote bag and enjoyed the long summer before I began the Psychology graduate program at my college. 
• By June I was a free agent again, dreaming of Italy and celebrating 8 years with the boyfriend. 
• In July I celebrated the big 2-2 at a lovely French restaurant with some of the best people in the world and a few weeks later crossed many state lines as Chelsea & I headed to meet up with Jack in North Carolina for one last summer hurrah (where I, after 22 years, learned how to ride a bike!). August ended with CE&TH turning a whole year older and grad classes beginning. 
• By September I returned to retail with my first part time job in almost a year. 
• I had my first sponsored post in October and had a house drop on me before the month was up!
• November meant shark obsessions and Turkey day and the countdown to Christmas. 
• December meant starting anew-- from finalizing new job plans to finally going blonde!

 And... here we are! Already on the cusp of 2013! How absolutely grand!

CE&TH really became something this year and has not only given me the amazing pleasure of sharing my world and getting to know the rest of you amazing people in the blogosphere, but has also opened doors for me that may not have even been offered had I not put my electronic pen to the web on a whim less than 2 years ago.

Not only did I get a kick ass sponsor but also got my summer temp job with the help of my blog and, now, I am over the moon to announce that I'm kickstarting the new year as a the lead blogger for a site that is launching in early 2013. I can't even believe I was given such an opportunity, and all because of this website!

I can't wait to tell you all about what is to come next in my life and, most of all, continue my journey through this beloved webspace with all of you for another year. Thank you for your never ending support, your kind words, your musings, and everything in between. If it weren't for you guys I would have stopped blogging a long time ago, and for that I thank you--I truly would not be where I am if it weren't for you!

Here is to warm wishes, the best of luck, and all the happiness in the world to you in 2013 (and a place to get motivated every once and a while when it doesn't work out as planned because, let's face it, sometimes it doesn't, but when it does it is just a dream, isn't it?).
